What Lies In Your Heart Of Hearts

What lies in your heart of hearts
Deep down in the darkest dark
Where the echoes don't
And the secrets hide
Who are you when the light shines
In these not so empty quarters
The not quite back alleys
On those unabandoned ruins
Is it the same as when
Your public mask covers
These dirty stains
And personal letters scarlet

Blond Haired Angel

So the air sparkles
With continual laughter
The grey skies are pierced
By never-ending grins
The Blond Haired Angel
Has made an appearance

Nebulous

I float freely
Above your heads
I fly unrestrained
Where you will not go

My life is spent
Drifting about wherever
The winds deem so

I only have one wish
That you could
Soar with me
In my skies of Dreams

What I am to be.

What I am to be
Is not yet known to me
Be it architect, psychologist
Or something as yet unknown
Only one knows the answer
I must mearly be silent
And listen
To hear His voice
In the wind
He knows my path
He knows the plan
I trust my Heavenly Father
To prosper me
Wherever I end up
Whatever I end up

Is it possible

Is it possible to love a place you've never been?
To have a longing for a people and a culture not your own?
There is a burden in my heart for them.A need to be with them.
From where do these feelings come from? Why do they remain so strong with in me?
In a mind oft plagued by past memories, and driven by dreams for the future.
There is a yearning, a seed planted long ago that is now growing.
Where will it lead?
What will come of it?
We shall see.
I have faith.

I've Been Too Long From The African Sun

I’ve been too long from the African sun.
My soul needs its warm embrace
(as well as my paled hide).
I wish to bathe in its dusty orange hues, basking myself in the comforting heat.
I desire to see the days, from the shade of the acacia tree,
brilliantly lit by a sun that knows how to nourish a wandering heart.
I want to end each of my days with the glory that is an African sunset.
All reds, pinks, purples and blues.
Each blending together, making the perfect color pallet to sip tea by.
I’ve been too long from the African sun.
